These
days, nearly everyone has heard of an MRI. Consider that up until a few years ago, the
average person had never even heard of it, and you will begin to understand
how quickly technology is advancing in the field of medicine, more specifically
in the use of energy in medicine. One
such advance has been with Electro-Acupuncture according to Voll
(EAV), which is sometimes called Electro-Dermal Screening (EDS). Your doctor may have never heard of it, but
in several years this piece of equipment will undoubtedly be as common in
medicine as the X-Ray machine. This
amazing instrument will revolutionize the way medicine is practiced in the
next century. It is truly the wave
of the future. The technology is
based on the phenomenon that all parts of the body are interrelated and
are also energetically linked via meridians. (Click here to read more...)
How does it
work??
EAV was developed out of the research of Dr. Reinhold Voll, an MD, anatomy professor, and acupuncturist, who began
his clinical analysis in the late 1940’s.
Dr. Voll was able to scientifically
document that in the human body, there are higher levels of electrical
conduction (or areas of less resistance) at certain points on the skin, many
of which correspond to traditional acupuncture points.
He developed a simple metering device to measure this skin resistance on
acupuncture points. The meter
has a metal cylinder at one end and a stylus at the other. Dr. Voll let
his patient hold the cylinder in one hand and then he would touch the tip of
the stylus to a specific acupuncture point.
A minute amount of electrical current would travel through the body and form
a complete electrical circuit.
The amount of skin resistance at the acupuncture site would then be
recorded.
Dr.
Voll found that normal skin resistance over a
healthy point is 100,000 Ohms. This equals 50 on the
Voll
Galvanic Skin Response Scale. A
healthy pathway will be able to sustain this level of electron flow. Inflammation tends to foster increased
activity in the cells, with all sorts of chemical reactions going on,
creating a more active environment through which electrons can flow at a
greater rate.
Thus, if inflammation exists anywhere on that pathway, the EAV will
show a higher than average flow of electrons, and a reading greater than 50
will be indicated. Degenerative states cause cellular
activity to slow and stagnate, making it more difficult for the electrons to
flow through the circuit, with a reading of less than 50 being indicated. The most significant information for EAV
testing occurs when the circuit has a high electron flow, which then drops
to a lower reading. This
indicates that a circuit which was formerly capable of sustaining an
electron flow, is no longer able to do so, and is called an indicator drop.
Investigational
Device
Although used in Europe for medical diagnosis, EAV is
still considered an investigational device in the
US. The FDA is currently exploring the use of
EAV as a noninvasive diagnostic instrument.
A phenomenal amount of information is available through EAV testing about
the nature of what is happening in the body. It can be used for allergy testing and
one study has actually shown EAV to be as accurate, or
more accurate than other forms of allergy testing. Other findings are parasites, chemical
toxins, nutritional deficiencies and heavy metal toxicity.
Dr.
Voll’s breakthrough discovery!
A mishap at a presentation of EAV technology by Dr. Voll resulted in the discovery of one of its MOST powerful
abilities. Dr.
Voll’s
patient was demonstrating a large “indicator drop” on his prostate point. During a break, a helpful homeopath from
the audience approached the patient and offered him a remedy. The patient gratefully put the vial of
medication in his pocket. After
the break, Dr.
Voll resumed his demonstration. He was baffled because the readings on
the prostate point were now normal.
After several confusing and baffling minutes of questioning his subject, he
discovered the remedy in the pocket.
This remedy in the pocket in a glass vial was able to influence the
readings.
This event led to one of the most interesting and exciting discoveries of
all. Dr. Voll
designed a tray in the circuit between his EAV machine and the patient. He could then place homeopathic remedies,
vitamins, foods, or anything else on this tray and test
their effects on the meridian reading.
This eliminates the guesswork out of finding healing remedies. Modern designers of these systems have
figured out how to incorporate the energy signature of the various
homeopathic remedies, supplements, food, drugs etc into the software to
simplify this procedure.
The Wave of the
Future
In the near future, this advanced technology will be commonplace.
The future of medicine depends upon our ability to measure and
balance the electrical circuits in the body.
Thanks to Dr. Voll, we are much closer to that
day.
